This single is, according to the artist herself, the best track so far! "Calling for You" was actually removed from her debut EP (released in 2021) to be sent to Swedish song contest Melodifestivalen (entry to ESC). However, being a busy mom and entrepreneur along with the new "naked POP queen"- role, Maria sadly missed the deadline. Now recovered from her loss, it is time to let the rest of us listen to this important song!
Marias' vision for this song was to perform on stage with a children's choir to support the important message.
The love to ONE SELF should not be taken for granted! Talking a lot about love to another person in her debut EP, she now changes focus to the smaller ones and their parents or other grown ups in their near surroundings. The importance to teach our children to love and respect ourselves first as this helps them to cope with life' challenges as they grow up.
Maria Rodhe was raised in a partly dysfunctional family being daughter to a periodically alcoholic father. She always cared
for the younger generations and she also acted as mentor and given lectures to school kids on how to succeed as an
entrepreneur in a male dominant business even though the circumstances might not always been right.
